Nandamuri Balakrishna’s much awaited film Akhanda 2 will no longer release on December 5, 2025. The team announced the delay just a few hours before the movie was supposed to hit theatres. They also confirmed the postponement in an official statement, which left fans shocked and disappointed.
While announcing the delay in release, 14 Reels Plus tweeted, “With a heavy heart, we regret to inform you that #Akhanda2 will not be releasing as scheduled due to unavoidable circumstances. This is a painful moment for us, and we truly understand the disappointment it brings to every fan and movie lover awaiting the film. We are working tirelessly to resolve the matter at the earliest. Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused. Your support means the world to us. We promise to share a positive update very soon.”

Industry reports suggest that the postponement stems from a major financial dispute between the production house and key distributors. Many well known people from the Telugu film industry tried to sort out the problem, but the amount involved was too big to resolve quickly. Because of this, the makers had no choice but to postpone the release.
When will Akhanda 2 release?
Buzz now points to 12 December or 19 December as possible new release dates, though nothing has been finalized yet.
