Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters is on a record breaking spree. The film has not only become Netflix’s biggest movie ever but also smashed box office records worldwide. The film’s soundtrack continues to dominate charts, with its lead single “Golden” holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, while the full album topped the Billboard 200 chart.
The fictional girl group HUNTR/x, voiced by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, has become a global sensation. During a chat with E! News at Heidi Klum’s annual Halloween party, Rei Ami dropped a major hint about a potential sequel while dressed as her character Zoey from the film.
“I’m waiting for the call, just like you! You’re gonna find out when I do, so we’ll chat then,” she teased.
Speaking about the film’s success, Rei Ami reflected on its cultural impact, saying, “This is a cultural phenomenon. I’m so honored, in awe and just truly humbled by the power of music and good art and how it can really, truly—it sounds so cliché—change the world. That’s exactly what this film and this soundtrack did, and it brought so much hope and light into such a dim, grim world, and I feel really privileged to be a part of it.”
