One of the most iconic and beloved Indian TV serial, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, is reportedly set to make a comeback. Ekta Kapoor, is reportedly reviving this cult classic with Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay likely reprising their iconic roles of Tulsi and Mihir.
According to a recent report from India Forums, Smriti Irani has already started shooting for the new season, with Z-plus security arranged on the sets.
The production is taking strict security measures to maintain confidentiality, including taping mobile phones of everyone present except for Smriti, Amar Upadhyay, and Ekta Kapoor herself.
The insider informed “The mobile phones of everyone on the sets, excluding Amar sir, Smriti Mam and Ekta mam, will be taped. Everyone will be barred from using their mobile phones. Smriti is also shooting with Z plus security and everyone on the sets will have to adhere to the strict security protocols laid.”

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is a popular television serial that aired from 3 July 2000 to 6 November 2008 on Star Plus. The show was co-produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Telefilms.
Smriti Irani became famous for playing Tulsi Virani, as her role was widely loved, and she even won several awards for it and in 2003, she entered politics by joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
