Actor-politician Hema Malini has slammed the death rumours of Dharmendra, who is currently admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. This post comes after several rumours and reports claimed that the actor is in a critical condition and is on a ventilator, even assuming the worst.
She wrote on X, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and is recovering? This is being extremely disrespectful and irresponsible. Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”

Earlier, while speaking to Hindustan Times, Hema Malini said, “We’re hoping for his speedy recovery.”
His daughter Esha Deol also shared a note on Instagram in which she shared that her father Dharmendra is stable and recovering. She wrote, “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank you for the prayers for papas speedy recovery. Esha Deol.”
Meanwhile, Dharmendra will return to the big screen with the film ‘Ikkis’. He will share the screen space with his co-star and friend Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda. Ikkis is scheduled to release in December 2025, but the makers have yet to officially announce its final release date. The film is the untold true story of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, the youngest recipient of the Param Vir Chakra at just 21 — honoured posthumously for his unmatched courage and sacrifice during the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
