Social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija aka The Rebel kid, popularly known as Kaleshi Aurat, has been a part of controversy, regarding her appearance on Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent alongside Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani. The sexually controversial remarks on the show have sparked outrage, leading to multiple FIRs being filed against them.
The Maharashtra Cyber Cell and the National Commission for Women (NCW) have summoned Apoorva Mukhija and Ranveer Allahbadia for questioning. Meanwhile, Apoorva has been constantly facing online abuse and trolls, including rape and death threats.
Rida Tharana Speaks Out in Support
Influencer Rida Tharana, Apoorav’s friend has strongly defended her, calling out trolls for their hateful attacks. Taking to Instagram, she wrote, “I’ve never doubted that some people hate women simply for being women- for breathing, existing, loving themselves, and daring to grow. A woman could have the same issue as anyone else, but the fact that she’s a woman always makes it worse.”
Expressing concern for Apoorva’s safety, Rida added, “It’s so unfair, the hate and cruelty she’s being put through. I just hope none of you ever have to experience what she’s going through.”
Apoorva Dropped from Rajasthan Tourism Campaign
As the controversy escalates, Apoorva has been removed from Rajasthan Tourism’s promotional campaign for an award function. She has also appeared before the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in connection with the case.
The uproar began when Ranveer Allahbadia made a vulgar remark about parents’ intimacy during India’s Got Latent. Apoorva Mukhija further stirred controversy by responding to a contestant in abusive language after he made an inappropriate comment about women’s private parts.
