India’s Got Latent Controversy: Stand-up comedian Samay Raina has got involved in a controversy after the release of the latest episode of his show ‘India’s Got Latent’. The backlash was caused due to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and social media influencer Apoorva Makhija’s ‘offensive’ comments in the episode. Amid this controversy, a new video from the old episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’ has been going viral and netizens have given a hilarious turn to the whole incident.

In the viral video, a contestant talked about his bad luck and how his pre-school, school, college and office got closed. Then, Samay jokingly threatened the contestant about the consequences if India’s Got Latent ever got closed. The video has gone viral amid the controversy as netizens jokingly said that this contestant responsible for ‘India’s Got Latent’ on the verge of being banned.

About The Controversy:

In the latest episode of ‘India’s Got Latent’, YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani were the guests alongside Apoorva Makhija. The backlash was caused due to Ranveer’s question for one contestant as he said, “Watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life. Or would you join in once and stop it forever?” Later, Apoorva also asked, “have you ever seen v*****?”

After the backlash, a complaint was filed on Monday against Ranveer, Apoorva and Samay and the organisers of India’s Got Latent. The complaint has been filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women’s Commission for allegedly using abusive language on the show and strict action has been demanded against the accused in the letter.

After the backlash, Ranveer also apologised and said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I’m just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wish to use my platform and obviously this is not how I wish to use it. I’m not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened.”

Apoorva and Samay are yet to react to this controversy.
