Stand-up comedian Samay Raina and youtuber Ranveer Allahbadia got involved in massive controversy due to former’s show India’s Got Latent. After receiving backlash and cases being filed against them, the two have recorded their statements before Maharashtra Cyber Office in Mumbai. The statement was recorded in connection to the case filed against them for alleged vulgar content and obscenity.
According to Mid-Day, an official said, “The Maharashtra Cyber had summoned Samay Raina and Ranveer Allahbadia for the third time on Tuesday to record their statements. Both appeared at the Maharashtra Cyber office to record their statements.”
This is not the first time Samay and Ranveer appeared before Maharashtra Cyber Cell in connection to India’s Got Latent controversy. Last week, Samay was questioned by Guwahati Police in this case. Meanwhile, Apoorva Mukhija and Ashish Chanchlani, who also appeared on the show, also appeared before the Guwahati Crime Branch to record their statements.
About The Controversy:
YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani and social media influencer Apoorva Mukhija appeared on India’s Got Latent as guests. The backlash was caused due to Ranveer’s question for one contestant as he said, “Watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life. Or would you join in once and stop it forever?” The uproar was also caused due to Apoorva’s comments on the show.
This resulted in Ranveer pausing his podcasts due to the court’s orders, Apoorva deleting all the videos on Instagram and Samay deleting the videos from his show.

Apoorva also dropped a video and expressed her disappointment after seeing threatening comments addressed towards her due to controversy.
