Sandeep Reddy Vanga's movie "Animal," starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol, is achieving remarkable success globally and in India. Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV), known for films that spark varied opinions, recently shared his views on "Animal" once again through Twitter. The action film has faced criticism from some audiences for its alleged promotion of violence against women and toxic masculinity.
Ram Gopal Varma commenced sharing his "five takeaways for the people of India from Animal" with a tweet. He wrote
The WORST reviewed film becoming the MOST watched film of INDIA proves that CRITICS make zero difference to a film’s BOX OFFICE
CRITICS don’t know Jack shit about why the audience will like in a film
Critics for the first time are UPSET with the AUDIENCE more than the FILM MAKER
CRITICS should watch ANIMAL repeatedly to re evaluate their critical standards and in the process get UPDATED
ALL critics with folded hands should request @imvangasandeep to conduct film appreciation courses for them
A few days after Animal was released on December 1, Ram Gopal Varma posted an extensive note sharing his thoughts on the Sandeep Reddy Vanga-directed film. He wrote, “There will be massive fights over the content and the character of Ranbir in Animal long after its box office run is over and I truly believe it can also trigger a cultural overhaul due to the way Sandeep has ripped off the clothes of moral hypocrisy with his bare naked honesty. That is because Animal is not merely a film... it is a social statement.”
