Indian Idol 13: Finally, Indian Idol 13’s victory has been revealed. The contestant who will take the prize home after a fight that lasted more than six months is Rishi Singh and the first runner-up is Debosmita Roy.

The 13th season of the singing competition shows Indian Idol has a winner. Rishi Singh of Ayodhya won the singing reality competition. Debosmita Roy of Kolkata had to be defeated for him to win the prized trophy and the Rs 25 lakh cash award.

Bidipta Chakraborty, Sonakshi Kar and Debosmita Roy from Kolkata, Chirag Kotwal from Jammu and Kashmir, and Shivam Singh from Vadodra were among the top six competitors.

After winning the show, what Rishi Singh said?
After winning the show, Rishi Singh said in a statement, “I still can’t believe that I won the Indian Idol 13 trophy. The feeling is surreal! It was a dream come true moment for me when my name was announced as the winner of this season. It is a huge honour to be taking ahead the legacy of such a well-loved and prestigious show. I am grateful to the channel, the judges, and the entire team of Indian Idol for giving us such a wonderful platform to showcase our talent. While speaking about his journey and how his music has time and again struck a chord with so many people, In an earlier interview, Rishi Singh said; “Indian Idol brought out a better version of me; from being no one to helping me make myself into someone who people recognize and shower me with so much love – this musical journey has been no less than a roller coaster ride and I am grateful for the same. I will work even harder to make sure I win the trophy not just for me and my family, but for everyone who supported me.”
Indian Idol 13: Prize Money
Sony Entertainment Television presented Rishi Singh with a check for Rs 25 lakh, while Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. gave him a brand-new Brezza. As the first and second runners-up, respectively, Debosmita Roy and Chirag Kotwal each received a trophy and a check for Rs 5 lakh. Bidipta Chakraborty and Shivam Singh, the third and fourth finalists, each received a check for Rs 3 lakh. Together with gift baskets, each of the six finalists also received a check for Rs. 1 lakh.
Runner-up Debosmita Roy shares her journey
After winning millions of hearts with simplicity and endless love for her parents, runner-up Debosmita Roy from Kolkata told a media outlet, “I can’t believe I had the opportunity to perform on such a huge platform in front of all the judges and special guests. It is a great achievement for me to see the smile and the pride in my parent’s eyes. When my name was announced as one of the finalists, it felt like I had already won the trophy. I owe it all to my parents.”
