Amid the buzz of Dhurandhar, the makers of Ikkis have decided to postponed the release by a few days. Earlier, the movie was scheduled to release on December 25, 2025. It is also the final on-screen appearance of late veteran actor Dharmendra.
Announcing the news, the makers wrote, “This new year, gift yourself courage. Final #Ikkis trailer drops this weekend in theatres. A new chapter unfolds in legendary director Sriram Raghvan’s first war film. The true story of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra Awardee, Second Lt. Arun Khetarpal. Some heroes die young. Experience courage in cinemas. #Ikkis releasing on 1st January 2026.”
Dharmendra plays the role of M. L. Khetarpal in Sriram Raghavan’s film, while Agastya Nanda stars as Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee.
The movie will also feature a heartfelt poem written by Dharmendra. Sharing the poem, the makers wrote, “Aj bhi ji karda hai, pind apne nu jaanwa.” Dharam Ji was a true son of the soil, and his words carry the essence of that soil. This poem by him is a yearning; a tribute from one legend to another. Thank you for gifting us this timeless verse.”
