Veteran actor Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital after he was admitted due to serious health concerns. He became the victim of a death hoax, for which his wife, Hema Malini and his daughter, Esha Deol, slammed the media for spreading false information. He was discharged from the hospital on November 12.
However, a private moment from inside the ICU quickly went viral. The video showed Dharmendra lying unconscious in his hospital bed, surrounded by his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol, other family members, and his first wife Prakash Kaur. Sunny’s sons Karan and Rajveer Deol were also seen in the clip. HT City reports that the hospital employee who secretly recorded and shared the video on social media has been arrested. Details of the investigation are still emerging.
Following his discharge at 7:30 am on November 12, the Deol family shared a statement urging the public and media to respect Dharmendra’s privacy. “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you,” it read.
