Bollywood Actress Parineeti Chopra recently made headlines after marrying Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chaddha on September 24. The actor-politician got married in Udaipur in Rajasthan.
While attending an event in Vadodara, The Times of India interviewed her and asked the ‘most anticipating’ question about joining politics in the future. The actor replies, “He knows nothing about Bollywood, and I don’t know anything about politics! So, I don’t think you will see me joining politics…”
Since September 24, the couple has been sharing photos and some glimpses of their married life. The question: Was she willing to join politics in the future? Let me tell you the secret to our successful marriage. He knows nothing about Bollywood, and I don’t know anything about politics! So, I don’t think you will see me joining politics… Although both of us are in public life, we had no idea that we would get so much love from all over the country. I feel that if you are with the right person, married life is the best.”
Further speaking about her personal and professional lives, the actor said, “It’s very important to strike the right work-life balance. In India, we often see people proudly talking about how they did not eat or sleep on time because they were busy with work. They wear it like a badge of honor but personally, I don’t think it is the right way to live life. I believe in working really hard but I also love to meet my friends and go on holidays. When I am 85 or 90 years old, I should look back and feel that I lived my life the way it should be done.”
On the work front, Parineeti completed filming for Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila alongside Diljit Dosanjh before her marriage. The film is a biopic depicting the life of Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila and his wife Amarjot Chamkila.
On Monday, she took to Instagram to share her gruelling workout to get back in shape. She wrote, “I spent 6 months this year singing in Rahman sir’s studio, and going back home to eat as much junk as I possibly could to put on 15 KILOS for Chamkila! (Coming soon on Netflix) Music and Food. That was my routine.
