Police said the dispute broke out over parking a two-wheeler, near the gate of a house, between Asif and a few men after which the accused attacked him. Later, Asif was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition and the doctors declared him dead. Asif’s wife and relatives claimed that the accused assaulted him ruthlessly over a minor matter.

Sainaz Qureshi, Asif’s wife, also told police that the accused had previously fought with him over the same parking issue. Sainaz stated that when Asif returned from work Thursday and saw the neighbour’s two-wheeler parked in front of the main entrance to his house, he asked the neighbours to remove the vehicle. However, instead of removing the vehicle from there, the neighbours started abusing Asif; and then they attacked him with sharp weapons, she alleged.

The police have registered a case and have begun a manhunt for the accused, who have already been on the run since the incident. Investigation is on.
