New Delhi: Veteran actor Vikram Gokhale dies at the age of 75 in Pune on Saturday afternoon, news agency ANI reported. Vikram Gokhale, who is well-known for his roles in movies like Bhool Bhulaiya and Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Following health issues, he was admitted to a private hospital in Pune, according to the doctors.

Vikram Gokhale passes away

The actor was receiving treatment at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune. After the prompt action, his condition had become rather stable. He was in a serious state, nevertheless, and his health had started to deteriorate once more. On November 26, Vikram passed away in Pune’s Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital.

This evening, his final rites will be carried out at the Vaikunth Crematorium in Pune.

Career 

Talking about Vikram Gokhle, he is the best actor in the cinema world, who has given many superhit films in Hindi and Marathi films. Vikram Gokhale got the most recognition from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. In this film, he played the role of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father. Whereas in Marathi, he gave hit films like ‘Aami Bolato Marathi’, ‘Lapandav’, ‘Kalat Nakalat’, ‘Godavari’.

He was the son of Marathi theatre and film actor Chandrakant Gokhale. He was also a social activist. His family’s philanthropic foundation provides funding for orphan children’s education, children of lepers, and disabled servicemen.
