Vinod Khanna married Geetanjali Khanna in 1971. They had two sons, Rahul Khanna and Akshaye Khanna. Rahul made a name for himself as a VJ, model, and writer, while Akshaye became known for his strong and serious acting roles in films.

In 1990, Vinod Khanna married Kavita Khanna. Together, they had two daughters, Sakshi and Shraddha Khanna. In an interview with Loveleena Tandon, Kavita spoke about her relationship with Vinod’s sons from his first marriage.
She said she always treated Rahul and Akshaye like her own children because they were Vinod’s sons. However, she never tried to replace their mother. Kavita clearly said that Geetanjali was a wonderful mother and she respected that bond.
Kavita also shared that she had a warm and respectful relationship with Vinod Khanna’s first wife. There was no tension or rivalry between them. She mentioned that Geetanjali and she were good friends.
