Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor have teamed up for Neeraj Ghaywan’s directorial ‘Homebound’. This is Ghaywan’s second movie after the filmmaker won hearts for his work in ‘Masaan’. After receiving accolades at several prestigious film festivals, the movie is all set to arrive in India, and the makers have unveiled the promising trailer of ‘Homebound’.

The movie highlights the caste and class discrimination with the backdrop of a heartfelt friendship between the two characters.
Academy Award-winning filmmaker Martin Scorsese also joined the film as its executive producer. Sharing this news, producer Karan Johar wrote, “Homebound is an extraordinary confluence of talent, vision, and storytelling at its finest. Having @martinscorsese_ , a true legend of cinema, lend his wisdom and support to Neeraj’s remarkable vision elevates our film to a rare artistic height. Meanwhile, Martin said in the statement, “I have seen Neeraj’s first film Masaan in 2015 and I loved it, so when Melita Toscan du Plantier sent me the project of his second film, I was curious. I loved the story, the culture, and was willing to help. Neeraj has made a beautifully crafted film that’s a significant contribution to Indian Cinema. I am glad the movie is an official selection at Un Certain Regard in Cannes this year.”
‘Homebound’ will release in India on September 26, 2025. It premiered at the 78th Cannes Film Festival. The movie was also screened at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival and Melbourne International Film Festival. Even before its release in India, ‘Homebound’ received an amazing response from the critics.
