Murugadoss has been in the news lately slamming Salman Khan for tardiness and truancy on the sets of Sikandar. One hopes the leading man Sivakarthikeyan of his new film Madharaasi was obedient and disciplined.
“Otherwise whom will Murugadoss blame this time?” a close friend of Salman Khan wonders. “Has he forgotten his string of flops before Sikandar? None of them starred Salman. And now he has directed another film with another actor (Sivakarthikeyan). Let’s hope it works.”
Reports say Madharaasi is not being properly showcased in multiplex chains of Hyderabad and Mumbai, as it gives off “very Bhojpuri vibes,” and is unlikely to get a decent opening anywhere, not even in Hyderabad.
Madharaasi joins the other releases of this Friday, Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 and Krish Jagarlamudi–Anushka Shetty’s Ghaati for an extra-bloody action escapade.
Says Krish, “I am not thinking of my film alone being a success. I want Murugadoss’s film to do well in Telugu alongside my film. Baaghi 2 and Bengal Files are also violent films. This is week of action at the box office.
