It seems the wait is finally over, and fans of the Hera Pheri franchise can expect an official announcement about Hera Pheri 3 from the makers very soon. Speculation began to float when the iconic trio – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal – was recently spotted together at Kalina private airport today. In the video, the three looked all dressed up, heading somewhere together.

This reunion sparked excitement among fans, who quickly took to social media to share their theories that it could be for Hera Pheri 3. Sharing the video, many wrote that they might be headed for the film’s shoot.

The first two instalments of the film, Hera Pheri (2000) and Phir Hera Pheri (2006), were massive hits, building a huge fan base. However, the third film in the franchise took a long time to materialise due to initial setbacks.

Akshay Kumar’s departure from the project initially and subsequent legal rights issues caused significant delays. Nevertheless, in October this year, a source confirmed that producer Firoze Nadiadwala had cleared all dues and received a ‘No Due Certificate’ from the court, allowing him to reclaim the rights to Hera Pheri and other films.

“Hera Pheri 3 is a passion project not only for Firoz but also for the original trio- Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty. They are all thrilled that the focus can now shift to the creative aspects and logistics required to bring the film to life,” a source close to the production shared.

The cast shot a promo last year aimed at ending speculation about the film and its cast. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting the first glimpse of their favourite trio reunited on screen after a long gap to reprise their iconic characters – Raju, Shyam and Babu Rao.
