Sharmin Segal, known for her role in the Netflix’s series Heeramandi, is reportedly expecting her child with husband Aman Mehta. The actress has not officially confirmed these reports yet. For the unversed, Sharmin is also the niece of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Sharmin and Aman got married in 2023. She announced the news of her wedding by posting some beautiful pictures with Aman. She wrote, “We got married! and it was a struggle to find a “perfect” posed photo of you and I, but I believe that when you are experiencing a special time in your life and, you cherish the actual moment. Sometimes photos and words are not able to capture it. At the end of the day it is a emotion and it can’t always be captured but it is ALWAYS felt. The last few months have been a whirlwind of happy emotions and I’m so lucky I found you to share them with. Here is to new beginnings and growing with each other to become better versions of ourselves everyday! Thank you for being genuinely the best @amansmehta! I love you, always and forever.”
After the release of Heeramandi, Sharmin has kept a low profile and has not posted anything on Instagram since June 2024. She faced massive online trolling for her performance in Heeramandi as many viewers were not impressed.

While speaking about the negative reactions, Sharmin earlier told The Indian Express, “I had given my all to Alamzeb’s character. We tend to fixate on the negatives but there are so many positives that have also come along, which we don’t talk about. It’s perhaps not interesting enough to talk about positives and we tend to look over them to some degree.”
Heeramandi has also been renewed for the second season.
