Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor have teamed up for a Telugu movie tentatively titled ‘RC 16’. Not much has been revealed about the film but as per recent buzz, Netflix has reportedly secured the OTT rights of RC 16. It has now been reported that the movie will suffer delay in its release as Netflix bags the streaming rights.
According to reports, RC 16 was supposed to release in 2025 but will now hit the theatres in March 2026. As per Telugu Chitraalu, Netflix has requested the makers to push the film’s release to 2026. The exact reason of the reported delayed has not been revealed. The makers are yet to confirm or deny these reports.
RC 16 is reportedly titled ‘Peddi’ and is expected to be a sports drama. The movie will be directed by Buchi Babu Sana.
On the work front, Ram Charan was last seen in Game Changer in a dual role. The movie also stars Kiara Advani, Anjali, S. J. Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil, Jayaram and Samuthirakani. The movie became a big disaster at the box office. The movie revolves around Ram Nandan, who has anger issues but later manages his behaviour and successfully clears the UPSC exam to become a District Magistrate. He has to go against a corrupt politician to fight for justice.
Meanwhile, RC 16 is Janhvi Kapoor’s second Telugu movie after Devera, in which she was seen opposite Jr NTR. She will next star in Param Sundari and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
