After the unfortunate death of singer Liam Payne, who was also a former member of boy band One Direction, fans were waiting for the first words from his mates. Besides Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles has also expressed grief over losing a dear friend.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Harry shared a picture of Liam, performing in an auditorium full of crowd. And alongside that, he wrote, “I am truly devastated by Liam’s passing. His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honour to be alongside him as he did it.”

He further recalled how Liam lived a life that’s a testament for many. “Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was infectious. He was warm, supportive, and incredibly loving. The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life,” he continued.
Harry further mentioned Liam’s family in his note, which read, “I will miss him always, my lovely friend. My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear, and all those around the world who knew and loved him, as I did.”
Before sharing a personal note on social media, One direction members – Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik, had released a joint statement to condole Liam Payne’s death. “In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say, But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly. The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever,” read the statement.
Liam Payne passed away on Thursday after falling from the balcony of his hotel Buenos Aires Hotel, Argentina. He was there for last two weeks with girlfriend with Kate Cassidy and had shared several pictures and videos. The press release from the Argentina National Prosecutor’s Office revealed the cause of Liam’s death and it was “polytrauma and internal and external bleeding.”
