The Harry Potter film franchise has become a cult classic for the audience and the makers have renewed it for the web series. We have finally got our new Harry, Hermione and Ron as Dominic McLaughlin, Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout have joined the show. Fans of the Harry Potter books and film franchise are also whole heartedly welcomed the trio.
Announcing the new trio, the makers wrote, “Dear Mr. Potter, Miss Granger, and Mr. Weasley: We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please welcome Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley to the HBO Original Series Harry Potter.”
Where Have You The New Harry Potter Cast Before?
Dominic McLaughlin, who has been casted as the new Harry Potter, has worked in only a few projects. He will be seen in the comedy film ‘Grow’ alongside Nick Frost and Golda Rosheuvel. As per reports, Dominic will star in the BBC television adaptation of Marilyn Kaye’s novel ‘Gifted’.
Arabella Stanton, who will play Hermione Granger, has worked in broadway. The Harry Potter series will be her first on-screen role. She has previously worked in the play ‘Maltilda The Musical’ and ‘Starlight Express’.
Alastair Stout has been confirmed to play the role of Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter series. This will be his first acting project and he has only appeared in a few advertisements.

Harry Potter series showrunner Francesca Gardiner and executive producer and director Mark Mylod issued a statement to announced the main cast. The statement read, “After an extraordinary search led by casting directors Lucy Bevan and Emily Brockmann, we are delighted to announce we have found our Harry, Hermione and Ron. The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together onscreen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there.”
According to reports, more than 30,000 actors auditioned to be the part of the Harry Potter series. Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson played the roles of Harry, Ron and Hermione respectively in the original film series.
