Yami Gautam and Emraan Hashmi have teamed up for the first time in the courtroom drama ‘Haq’. The movie will showcase the fictionalised and dramatised version of the historic Shah Bano, based on the book titled ‘Bano: Bharat ki Beti’ written by Jigna Vora.

The official synopsis of ‘Haq’ reads, “Shazia Bano takes her husband Abbas to court after he abandons her and their children, sparking a national battle over faith, women’s rights, and justice. Inspired by the landmark Supreme Court judgement of Mohd. Ahmed Khan vs. Shah Bano Begum. Haq is the story of one woman’s fight for her rights and justice.”
It will release in theatres on November 7, 2025. The movie is directed by Suparn S Varma, written by Reshu Nath and produced by Vineet Jain, Vishal Gurnani, Juhi Parekh Mehta and Harman Baweja.
