Hania Aamir Reacts To Operation Sindoor Against Pakistan; Says ‘A Cowardly…’

Pakistani celebrities have strongly condemned India's Operation Sindoor, launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

Leading Pakistani actresses Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan have come out openly against India’s recent military strike against terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). Code-named Operation Sindoor, the operation was launched by the Indian Army in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, which resulted in the killing of several Indian tourists.

The two actresses went on to post on Instagram their distaste for the cross-border mission. They branded India’s move as “a cowardly act” and there was social media discussion, including both praise and criticism from their fans across the border.

Pakistani author and political analyst Fatima Bhutto also expressed concern about the Indian operation. Referring to a reported civilian injury, she raised questions about the moral implications of “One of the victims of India’s aggression is a child. What kind of state bombs multiple civilian sites while people are sleeping?”

What Is Operation Sindoor?

Theoperation consisted of precision attacks at nine known locations associated with terror groups, the camps of Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammad in particular. Some of the prominent locations that were hit are Masjid Sobhanullah, Ahmed Pur East Bahawalpur, Kotli in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and Muzaffarabad. The authorities stated that the strikes were strategically calibrated aiming only at the terrorist targets and not damaging any Pakistani military bases. This cautionary approach reinforces India’s respect for restraint and de-escalation during high tensions.
