Vardhan Ketkar, a new director, oversaw the making of Gumraah. The movie is made by the Cine1 Studios and T-Series of Murad Khetani. On April 7, 2023, it is scheduled to open in theatres. The Tamil film Thadam was remade as Gumraah.
