Aditya Roy Kapur's film received mixed reviews from the audience and critics. As per the day 1 early estimate, the film had a slow start. According to Sacnilk report, the film earned Rs 1.50 crore on its opening day.
Vardhan Ketkar, a new director, directed Gumraah. The movie is made by Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.The movie is scheduled to open in theatres on April 7, 2023. The Tamil movie Thadam’s remake is titled Gumraah.
