Gully Boy became a sensation at the time of its release. From songs to performances, the movie received love from the audience in every aspect. The reports of its sequel have now created a buzz with filmmaker Arjun Varain Singh, known for Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Vicky Kaushal and Ananya Pandey are also rumoured to replace Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead.
According to a report by Filmfare, Arjun, Vicky and Ananya will team up for the sequel of ‘Gully Boy’. A source was quoted as saying by Filmfare, “Arjun Varain Singh, who directed Kho Gaye Hum Kahan for Excel and Tiger Baby, is slated to direct the Gully Boy sequel. He’s confident that Ananya, who was his heroine in Kho Gaye, will be the perfect girl to lead the project. Vicky has been attached to the sequel for a long time now. Let’s see if all these three artists can come together to recreate the magic of Gully Boy.”
However, the source added, “But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. That’s a possibility that’s way too uncertain right now.”

Apart from Ranveer and Alia, the movie also stars Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Varma, Amruta Subhash and Vijay Raaz. Siddhant Chaturvedi also made his acting in this film. ‘Gully Boy’ is inspired by the life of rappers Divine and Naezy. It won 13 Filmfare Awards, including Best Film, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Male Debut and Best Supporting Actor. Zoya Akhtar’s directorial also became a huge hit at the box office. The movie is available to watch on Prime Video.
On the work front, Vicky will next star in ‘Chhava’. He was last seen in ‘Bad Newz’ with Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. Ananya was last seen in the Netflix film ‘CTRL’.
