Bollywood actor Govinda has not been in many movies for a long time. He sometimes appears as a guest on reality TV shows and special events, but he hasn’t acted in any films in the last six years. Recently, he spoke to Mukesh Khanna on his YouTube channel called Bheeshm International. During this conversation, Govinda said that he believes there was a conspiracy against him in Bollywood.
Govinda Opens Up About Rejecting Projects
Govinda remembered a time when he didn’t have any work and said, “When they were writing that I didn’t have work, I had actually turned down films worth ₹100 crore. I would look in the mirror and slap myself for refusing that money. I told myself, ‘You have gone mad; you could have financed yourself with that money.’ The films had the same kind of roles that are working well these days.” However, Govinda explained that he still stood by his decision, saying it’s important to listen to your heart and do what feels right because being honest with yourself is the most important thing.
Govinda Accuses Bollywood Of Conspiring Against Him
Govinda explained why he decided to join politics, saying that people in Bollywood plotted against him. He said, “I went through a time when my reputation was damaged, and it was planned. They wanted to push me out of the industry. I realized these were educated people, and I, an uneducated outsider, had entered their world. So they started playing games with me. I can’t name anyone because I’m still working in the industry because of the work I’ve done. When the conspiracy started against me, even attempts on my life began. Many people were caught outside my house with guns, and they were coming up with different ways to harm me. After these events, my personality changed. I thought, whether or not I get into politics, this is how things work.”
Govinda’s Recent Work And Personal Life
Govinda was last seen in a movie called Rangeela Raja, which came out in 2019. This comedy film was directed by Sikander Bharti and written and produced by Pahlaj Nihalani. In the movie, Govinda played two different roles, and he acted alongside Mishika Chourasia and Anupama Agnihotri. Unfortunately, the film did not do well at the box office.

Last year, during his appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Show, Govinda mentioned that he has three new projects coming up.
Personal Life Update
There were rumors about Govinda getting a divorce from his wife, Sunita Ahuja. While neither of them spoke about it publicly, their lawyer shared that Sunita had filed for divorce six months ago. However, they have now sorted things out and gotten back together.
