Google’s Most Searched 2024: 2024 has been an eventful year with many unexpected things that happened around the world. In India, several movies, shows, personalities, celebrities and several key phrases dominated the year. As the year is coming to an end, Google has released its official list of its top searches and it is quite exciting and surprising.
Take a look at what was trending in India on Google searches in 2024 in different fields:
Movies:
‘Stree 2’, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, dominated the list of most searched movies in 2024. Bollywood has taken the top five list but in the top 10, most films are from South Indian cinema. ‘Stree 2’ is followed by Prabhas-starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Meanwhile, ’12th Fail’, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ and Telugu movie ‘Hanu-Man’ took 3rd, 4th and 5th rank respectively.
Shows:
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s OTT debut ‘Heeramandi’ was the most searched show of 2024. It was followed by ‘Mirzapur’, ‘Last Of Us’, ‘Bigg Boss 17’ and ‘Panchayat’. Kdramas ‘Queen Of Tears’ and ‘Marry My Husband’ also made it to the top 10 in India.
People:
Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan is at the fifth position in the top searched people in India. Poonam Pandey took the 7th position in India. He also took the second spot in the most searched actor in 2024 around the globe.
Meanwhile, actress Hina Khan is at the fifth position in the list of most searched actor in 2024 around the globe.
Meaning:
Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s son Akaay also dominated Google search but with a twist. The word ‘Akaay’ was at the second position the most searched meaning on Google list. The unique name of Anushka and Virat’s son certainly sparked curiosity among fans and caught everyone’s attention.
