After a gap of 5 years, producer Vinod Bachchan is back with the sequel of ‘Ginny Wedss Sunny’. This sequel will not have Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam in the lead role, but this time, the maker will bring a fresh pair, Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr in the lead role.
The announcement regarding the shoot of the sequel was shared by the lead pair by the producyion house. The caption read, “Get ready for a rollercoaster of romance, comedy and drama as the first schedule of Ginny Weds Sunny 2 officially begins! 🤩🤩 Excited to begin this journey with an amazing team!”
Speaking about the sequel, Bachchan said in a statement “We are excited to bring a new chapter to the Ginny Weds Sunny universe. The love the first film received encouraged us to explore new narratives and characters, and with Avinash and Medha, we have found a refreshing and dynamic pairing. We are confident the sequel will offer even more heart, laughter, and connection.”
The sequel is written and directed by Prasshant Jha and produced by Vinod Bachchan under the Soundrya Production banner.
Medha Shankr rose to fame after 12th Fail, also starring Vikrant Massey in the lead opposite to her. Where as, Avinash Tiwary has delivered compelling performances in Laila Majnu, The Mehta Boys, Madgaon Express, and Bambai Meri Jaan.
Ginny Weds Sunny is a 2020 romantic comedy film starring Yami Gautam as Ginny and Vikrant Massey as Sunny. It is directed by debutant Puneet Khanna and produced by Vinod Bachchan.
