After a long and eventful run, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, one of Indian television’s most talked-about daily soaps, is finally drawing to a close. Due to the continuous drop in TRPs, there were talks of the show going off air for some time now. The makers brought in a big generation leap at the beginning of the year and introduced new lead actors Vaibhavi Hankare, Param Singh and Sanam Johar. But the new storyline failed to make a place in the hearts of the audience.

Even when Bhavika Sharma returned in the role of Savi, the show did not receive the expected response. Now, the finale episode will feature Savi and Neil (Param Singh’s character) marking the end of their journey not as lovers but as companions.

Bhavika Sharma wrote on Instagram, “Will miss Savi so much,” along with a mirror selfie, and shared a BTS video of herself wearing her uniform, which read, “Last day.”

There were also reports that actor Hitesh Bhardwaj who was briefly part of the show was approached again by the makers. In a recent chat with News18, Hitesh shared his thoughts, “It is not about regretting something. That show is very close to my heart. So I cannot say that I regret that thing. I will definitely say that it would have been good if it had happened. But otherwise, I am in a very good state. I am doing good work. It is like somebody asking, ‘Will you go back to Udaariyaan?’ I will say the same thing for that also. I like Udaaniyaan very much. These shows have done a lot of good for my career. It has showcased my craft very well. I am always thankful to these shows,” he said.

The show, which went on air in October 2020, with Neil Bhatt, Aishwarya Sharma, and Ayesha Singh in the main roles. Later, the show took a big leap and brought in new leads Bhavika Sharma, Shakti Arora, and Hitesh Bharadwaj. In January this year, the show was revamped again with Vaibhavi Hankare, Param Singh, and Sanam Johar taking over as the new leads. However, the new cast didn’t connect well with the audience.
