Padma Shri awardee Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has been getting ticket offers since 25 years after his movie Satya was released. The actor revealed this at the convocation ceremony of ISOMES, the education vertical of the BAG network. He stated that he had been getting offers from all the major parties for assembly elections, Lok Sabha elections and Rajya Sabha. He also added that he has no intent to join politics.

The actor who’s loved by one and all for his fine craft has a crystal clear opinion on politics. “The kind of politics I used to see in the era of my grandfather is deteriorated now and it has been happening gradually so I don’t find interest in today’s politics”, he said. When asked to pick the best actress of today, he mentioned not one but a handful of names. He said that actresses are doing really well these days so I wish to pick a few names and then he counted on his fingertips – Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, Tabu and Rasika Duggal.

On speculations over Kangana joining politics, Bajpayee said – I heard that she’s contesting in the Lok Sabha elections but I feel she’s a brilliant actress and should have continued in the cinema industry. Pouring gallons of praises on Ranaut he added that when he watched her initial movies, he was blown to see her brilliant performance as how can someone play so well at that young age and experience. Among actors, he mentioned Naseeruddin Shah as his all-time favourite and greatest. In the list of his favourite directors, he counted Abhishek Chaubey, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Neeraj Pandey and a few more.

Manoj Bajpayee shared that he wants his food to be delicious and is very particular regarding that. For the same reason he chooses to cook most of the time even when he is working on some project for a movie or a web series. On what he usually cooks, he sweetly mentioned – aloo-parwal, baingan ka bharta and a lot more.
