Late last night, gunshots were fired outside Bollywood actor Disha Patani’s house in Civil Lines, Bareilly, police said on Friday. A few shots, including two fired into the air around 4:30 am, were reported, but no one was hurt.
The Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar gang has claimed responsibility for the firing outside Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s house in Civil Lines, Bareilly. In a viral Facebook post, gangsters alleged that the attack was a response to “disrespect” shown towards Sant Premanand Maharaj.
The viral message written in Hindi, attributed to individuals identifying themselves as Virendra Charan and Mahendra Saran, warned that the firing outside the villa was “just a trailer” and promised harsher retaliation should anyone again “insult” their saints or Sanatan Dharma. “I, Virendra Charan, Mahendra Saran (Delana). Brothers, today the firing that took place at Khushboo Patna / Disha Patna (Bollywood actress)’s house (villa number 40, Civil Lines Bareilly, U.P.) we had this carried out. She had insulted our revered saints (Premanand Ji Maharaj and Aniruddhacharya Ji Maharaj). She tried to demean our Sanatan Dharma.”
The message further added that those who offend the religion “will not be left alive.” “The insult of our worshipped deities will not be tolerated. This was just a trailer. If next time again she or someone else shows any obscenity toward our religion, we will not leave anyone alive from their house. This message is not only for her but for all the artists of the film world and the people associated with them. Whoever in the future commits any such insulting act regarding our religion and saints, be prepared to face its consequences. If we have to go to any extent to protect our religion, we are ready for that. We will never back down. For us, religion and the whole society are always one; protecting them is our foremost duty.”

Earlier reports suggested that gangsters Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar had openly challenged those who insulted Saint Premanand of Vrindavan, who has been spreading spiritual teachings despite suffering from kidney failure. They threatened to eliminate anyone who attempts to harm him.
Social Media Trigger
The uproar may have been linked to a post by Disha’s sister, Khushboo Patani, who criticised religious leader Aniruddhacharya Maharaj for his remarks on live-in relationships. However, many online users mistakenly thought her comments were aimed at Premanand Ji Maharaj, which led to confusion and outrage.
Khushboo’s anger was directed at a video where Aniruddhacharya Maharaj was allegedly heard saying, “Ladke laate hain 25 saal ki ladkiyon ko, jo 4-5 jagah mooh maar ke aati hain.” In response to that statement, Khushboo wrote, “Agar ye mere saamne hota, to main isko samjha deti ki mooh maarna kya hota hai. These are anti-nationalists. You should not be supporting such bastards of the highest order.”
Khushboo later clarifies her comments, denies targeting Premanand Ji Maharaj, and issues legal warnings against misinformation.
