During the New Year celebrations, while the entire country was immersed in festivities, a tragic incident unfolded for actor Rakesh Bedi. He fell victim to a scam where an individual, posing as a military personnel, deceived him, causing a financial loss amounting to thousands. The actor has lodged a complaint with the police regarding this fraudulent act, seeking justice in the matter.

Rakesh, who has portrayed various characters in TV and films, recently became a victim of broad daylight deception. According to reports, he didn’t just lose 100-200 rupees but fell prey to a scam amounting to a staggering 75,000 rupees. Upon learning of this, the actor promptly filed a complaint with the police. In an interview, Rakesh shared details about how an individual, impersonating an army officer, managed to extract thousands of rupees from him.

In a conversation with TOI, Rakesh revealed that he has registered a complaint regarding the fraud at the Oshiwara police station. The actor expressed gratitude that he didn’t suffer substantial losses but emphasized the importance of people staying vigilant and informing the police about such incidents. He cautioned everyone to be wary of such individuals who manipulate unsuspecting people, trapping them and taking away the hard-earned money.

The fraudster engaged him in a lengthy conversation, extracting details until Rakesh realized that he had fallen into a trap. By the time Rakesh comprehended the situation, the fraudster had siphoned off 75,000 rupees from his bank account, transferring all the money into his own account.

According to Rakesh, these individuals intentionally operate during the night to make people hesitant about going to the police station. Alternatively, victims may delay reporting the incident until the next morning, giving the fraudsters ample time to disappear. Rakesh has provided the police with all the details related to his account, including the account where the money was transferred.

Speaking about Rakesh Bedi’s recent work, he was recently seen in Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2. He has been active in the industry for several years and has been a part of many hit shows such as Shrimaan Shrimati, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai, and Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Additionally, Rakesh Bedi has worked in iconic films like Chashme Buddoor and Mera Damad.
