Val Kilmer, known for his roles in Top Secret, Ton Gun, Real Genius, The Doors, Batman Forever, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, The Snowman and several others has passed away at the age of 65. According to the New York Times, he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 and later recovered. His daughter Mercedes Kilmer said that the cause of his demise was pneumonia.
His last appearance was in Top Gun: Maverick (2022) in his beloved role as Iceman.

Though his paycheck for the sequel was lower than his co-stars were they were reportedly all paid above $1 million, Kilmer was eager to return as Iceman.
