May 2023: With a variety of film and streaming service debuts in many genres, the first week of May is promising. The cinemas will be overrun with English, Hindi, and Punjabi films. This week’s OTT releases include a number of much-awaited TV episodes and films, such as Tu Jhooti main Makkar, Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo, and others. Let’s look at the list of upcoming films and streaming services that noone should miss this week.

1. The Kerala Story

Releasing on: 5 May 2023 (in theatres)

The story of four Keralan women who were converted to Islam and recruited by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is told in the film.

2. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar

Releasing on: 3 May 2023

Streaming on: Netflix

You may now watch the popular romantic comedy “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor at home. The beloved film is about to premiere on OTT. Netflix will start streaming the movie on May 3.

3. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

Following Bridgerton’s enormous success, Netflix is releasing Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, a prequel spin-off series. 4. Saas Bahu aur Flamingo  

Releasing on: 3 May 2023

Streaming on: Disney+ Hotstar

This week’s OTT offerings must include this murder drama series. The series, which is set in Hastipur, centres on four women who manage a family business in drugs. Rani Cooperative is a business that is run by matriarch Savitri, her daughter Shanta, and her daughters-in-law Bijli and Kajal. One of the major drug gangs operating in South Asia is made successful by the sale of goods ranging from textiles to jari-booti balms.

 

5. Shabash Feluda

Bengali detective suspense web series Shabash Feluda stars Parambrata Chattopadhyay in the lead role. Arindam Sil is the director, and the movie debuts on May 5 on ZEE5.

6. Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All

8. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

10. Fireflies- Parth aur Jugnu

Releasing on: 5 May 2023

Streaming on: ZEE5

A new fantasy drama on ZEE5, which stars Meet Mukhi, Aekam Binjwe, Madhoo Shah, Priyanshu Chaterjee, Luke Kenny, and others, is scheduled for later this week (May 5, 2023). The show centres on an adolescent who makes a mysterious acquaintance in a neighbouring haunted forest. They set out on an exciting trip together to save a mystical tree.
