A number of well-known Bollywood actresses and actors, emerging stars, as well as a cricket star from Australia, are making their Telugu debuts in upcoming films.
David Warner
In an unexpected crossover, Australian cricket star David Warner filmed a special cameo in Nithin’s film “Robinhood” based on his enthusiastic view of Telugu culture and credibility. Director Venky Kudumula envisioned Warner for the “important role” with interest showcased in the presentation. Fans are eager to see the cricketer’s debut in the Indian Cinema and flooded his comment section with welcome wishes.
Sonakshi Sinha
Sonakshi Sinha will make her Telugu debut in the horror thriller “Jatadhara” opposite Sudheer Babu, who recently shared images of her first look in the film directed by Venkat Kalyan, a blend of mythological and supernatural ideas.
Emraan Hashmi
Emraan Hashmi also joins the list of Bollywood transplants, with Hashmi portraying gangster Omi Bhau in “OG” starring opposite Telugu superstar Pawan Kalyan. The action-thriller, directed by Sujeeth, faced production challenges and was not released in September 2024, as originally planned.
Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Kashyap, the filmmaker-actor who recently made headlines with his departure from Mumbai and Bollywood, has a role as a fearless police officer in the film “Dacoit” which is produced as a bilingual. The film has Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur in lead roles alongside Kashyap, and marks the directorial debut of Shaneil Deo.
Adarsh Gourav
Rising star Adarsh Gourav, who recently starred in “Superboys of Malegaon,” has started shooting for his first Telugu film. The 30-year-old actor considers Telugu his first language and had said he wanted to explore opportunities in the Telugu film industries but struggled to find the right opportunity.
