Avatar: Fire and Ash
James Cameron returns to Pandora with Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third chapter in the globally celebrated Avatar franchise and a sequel to The Way of Water. The film stars Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Stephen Lang, Sigourney Weaver, Joel David Moore, and Giovanni Ribisi. The film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on December 19.
Dhurandhar
Dhurandhar released on December 5, is not showing any sign of slowing down and in fact, it’s getting stronger with each passing day. Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar is a tense spy thriller set in early 2000s Pakistan. Ranveer Singh plays an undercover Indian operative tasked with taking down the notorious Lyari gangs. Inspired by real events, the film features a strong ensemble including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan.
Kis Kis Ko Pyaar Karoon 2
Actor-comedian Kapil Sharma has officially returned to the big screen with the sequel to his comedy film ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’. The movie released on December 12 has introduced four heroines as Kapil’s character gets stuck in the chaos of marriage. Despite the hype around Kapil’s return to theatres, the movie has been left behind in theatres due to the buzz around Dhurandhar.
Tere Ishk Mein
Tere Ishk Mein released on November 28 is a romantic action drama about Shankar (Dhanush), a short tempered young man who falls in love with his college friend Mukti (Kriti Sanon). Their love grows in college, but things take a painful turn when Mukti ends the relationship and decides to marry someone else. Set in Banaras, it follows a love that hurts, heals, and transforms.
Akhanda 2
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2 released on December 12 is currently performing well at the box office despite Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna’s spy-action thriller, Dhurandhar’s domination. Akhanda 2 also stars Samyuktha Menon, Aadhi Pinisetty, and Harshaali Malhotra. The movie is set after the events of the first film and explores the connection between children’s innocence, the natural world, and spiritual faith as communities strive for progress.
