New Delhi: The film “Gadar 2”, featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles, is generating significant attention and acclaim. Released on August 11, the movie has garnered widespread appreciation from both fans and critics. Impressively, the film has now joined the prestigious Rs 400-crore club in terms of box office earnings.
Adding to its list of achievements, “Gadar 2” is poised to achieve another milestone by becoming the inaugural film to be showcased in the newly constructed Parliament building. The movie will be screened exclusively for Lok Sabha members over a span of three days, commencing from today, August 25.
Announcing the exciting news on X, formerly known as Twitter, trade analyst Komal Nahta shared that “Gadar 2” is set to be screened in the New Parliament building for a duration of three days, starting from August 25, exclusively for members. He expressed his enthusiasm for the notable honor that the film has received.
The director of “Gadar 2,” Anil Sharma, also conveyed his exhilaration through a tweet. He mentioned that the ASP (Anil Sharma Productions) team was thrilled to receive an email about the film’s screening at the Balayogi auditorium in the new Parliament building. He expressed his gratitude for this prestigious opportunity for the entire “Gadar 2” team.
According to a report by Sacnilk, “Gadar 2” has achieved remarkable success in the Bollywood industry, emerging as one of the biggest hits of the year. Within just two weeks of its theatrical release, the film has amassed an impressive net earnings of Rs 419.1 crore.
The screening of “Gadar 2” at the Parliament is organized by the film’s makers. The first screening commenced at 11:00 a.m. on August 25, and the film will be showcased in five shows per day at the New Parliament building.
“Gadar 2” is a sequel to the popular 2001 film “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha,” which starred Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in lead roles. In the sequel, Sunny portrayed the character of Tara Singh, while Ameesha Patel reprised her role as Sakeena. The film also features Utkarsha Sharma, Manish Wadhwa, Simrat Kaur, and other talented actors.
