A fire reportedly broke out on Wednesday evening during the screening of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava. According to reports, the incident took place in New Delhi’s Select Citywalk Mall at around 5:44 PM. Six fire tenders were immediately rushed to the venue and situation was controlled within 10 minutes. No injuries and causalities have been reported.
According to News18, a spokesperson of the mall issued a statement after the situation was under control and said, “We are aware of the short circuit incident which happened at the adjoining multiplex. We are assisting the multiplex team and the authorities, and extending full cooperation to them. There was no harm to any human life. Routine operations at Nexus Select Citywalk remain unaffected.”
Meanwhile, an audience also recalled the incident and revealed that it was a small fire. He reportedly told PTI, “When people realised that the fire broke out inside the hall and smoke was billowing, people started screaming. It was a small fire. As the fire alarm went off, cinema hall staff came in and asked everyone to leave quickly.”

The movie will soon cross Rs 400 crore at the box office in India.
