Monalisa’s debut filmmaker Sanoj Mishra has lodged an FIR against Jitendra Narayan Singh Tyagi (formerly known as Wasim Rizvi), Ravi Sudh-a Chaudhary, Mahi Anand, Marut Singh, and YouTube channel owner Abhishek Upadhyay. The complaint, filed at Amboli police station, accuses them of spreading false information to malign his reputation and prevent the making of his film, The Diary of Manipur.
Allegations Of Conspiracy And Defamation
Sanoj has alleged that Rizvi and his associates orchestrated a smear campaign against him, circulating misleading news to damage his credibility. He claimed that this was a deliberate attempt to halt the production of The Diary of Manipur, starring Monalisa. According to Sanoj, the accused individuals aimed to discredit him and blackmail him by propagating false narratives in the media.
Past Feud Between Sanoj Mishra And Wasim Rizvi
This is not the first time the filmmaker has accused Rizvi of foul play. Sanoj has previously alleged that Rizvi conspired against him during the making of his film Bengal Diary and even attempted to take credit for the project to advance his political ambitions. He further claimed that Rizvi, with the backing of the West Bengal government, posed a threat to his life.
Speaking in an earlier interview, Sanoj said, “He wanted full control over Bengal Diary to use it as a stepping stone into the Rajya Sabha. When I refused, he orchestrated a campaign to destroy my career.”

Legal Battle And Counter Allegations
Sanoj confirmed that legal proceedings against Rizvi are underway and accused him of fraudulently selling Bengal Diary without consent. He also stated that Rizvi is embroiled in nearly 150 cases, including serious charges like rape.
On the other hand, Rizvi has denied all accusations, calling Sanoj a fraud. He claimed that none of Sanoj’s films had ever been released and accused him of abandoning projects mid-production. Rizvi also alleged that Sanoj had a troubled personal history, involving excessive drinking and inappropriate behavior.
Monalisa’s Name Dragged Into Controversy
The controversy has also drawn in Monalisa, known as the “Mahakumbh Viral Girl.” Rizvi accused Sanoj of exploiting her innocence and claimed that if her family knew the truth about him, they would never have trusted him. However, Monalisa and her family have since spo-ken out in Sanoj’s defense, calling the allegations baseless.
Monalisa, along with her uncle and other family members, released a video refuting the claims made by Rizvi. She emphasized that Sanoj had supported her career and provided her with opportunities in the film industry. “He treated me like family, and all these allegations are completely false,” she stated.
Ongoing Dispute and Political Motives?
Sanoj believes that Rizvi’s actions are politically motivated. He alleged that Rizvi is attempting to secure a position within the BJP and RSS by frequently changing his religious identity. “This is his strategy to gain political mileage and secure a seat in the Rajya Sabha,” Sanoj claimed.
