Filmfare Awards 2023: The 68th Filmfare Awards last night marked the beginning of Bollywood’s award season. The significant winners included Harshavardhan Kulkarni’s Badhaai Do and Gangubai Kathiawadi by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. With 10 awards, including some of the biggest of the evening including Best Film, Best Director (Sanjay Leela Bhansali), and Best Actress (Alia Bhatt), Gangubai Kathiawadi led the field.
Rajkummar Rao’s performance in Badhaai Do earned him the Best Actor Award. For Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Badhaai Do, respectively, Tabu and Bhumi Pednekar shared the prize for Best Actress (Critics). Sanjay Mishra’s portrayal in Vadh earned him the Best Actor award from critics.
Prem Chopra, a seasoned actor, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. Actor Ankush Gedam from the Jhund series earned the Best Debut (Male) prize. The Best Debut (Female) Award went to Andrea Kevichusa, an actress from Anek.
