Kannada Actor Veerendra Babu Arrested: Kannada film actor-producer Veerendra Babu has been accused of rape and blackmail, after which he has been arrested, according to reports. It is being told that the well-known actor-producer of the Kannada industry, Veerendra Babu, has been arrested by the Karnataka Police after he has been accused of extorting lakhs of rupees from a 36-year-old woman and taking gold valuables. Along with this, Virendra Babu has also been charged with raping a woman. The matter is being told of the year 2021.
According to the Karnataka Police, Virendra Babu had demanded Rs 15 lakh from the victim woman in 2021 and threatened to leak her video on social media if she did not do so. While registering her complaint, the victim woman told that ‘Virendra Babu first befriended her and then called her to his house on the pretext of offering her a film’.
Allegations of Drugging and Exploitation
The 36-year-old victim woman further alleged that when she reached director Virendra’s house, he mixed drugs in coffee and gave it to the woman to drink. The woman says that taking advantage of this, Kannada film actor-producer Virendra Babu recorded her video.
Disturbing Tale of Sexual Assault
The woman has allegedly alleged that she was also sexually assaulted by the director, after which he started blackmailing her by showing her the video and demanding money. On not doing so, he started threatening to leak the tape. The woman said that the accused also forced her to pay Rs 15 lakh online.
