Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava Leads February Box Office
Vicky Kaushal’s period film Chhaava made up 53% of February’s total box office earnings. The movie, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna, was released on February 14. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhaava is a biopic about the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.
Since the Telugu version of the film was released in March 2025, only the Hindi box office numbers are included in this report for Chhaava.
2025 Box Office Growth
So far, the total box office earnings for 2025 releases have reached ₹2,264 crore, which is 39% higher than the same time in 2024. This also marks the highest-grossing February since the pandemic.
Top Ten Films of February 2025
According to the report, Chhaava has become the highest-grossing film of February 2025, earning over ₹650 crore and securing its place as one of the highest-grossing Hindi films of all time. The only other film to cross the ₹100 crore mark in February is the Tamil film Dragon, which has been a surprise hit, earning even more than the big-budget Tamil film Vidaamuyarchi.
