Brad Pitt took the box office by storm worldwide with his movie ‘F1’ and also received appreciation for his impeccable performance. The movie revolves around Sonny Hayes, who retires as an F1 driver after a horrible crash in the 1990s. He comes out of his retirement after a Formula One team owner and friend, Ruben, contacts him to mentor rookie prodigy Joshua. ‘F1’ will reportedly arrive on the OTT platform soon after its glorious run in theatres.
F1 OTT Release Date Update:
‘F1’ will release on Prime Video on August 22, 2025, but it will only be available for rent. It is likely to be available for free in September or October 2025 on Apple TV+.
While speaking about his experience of working in ‘F1’, Brad Pitt shared, “I’ve always loved racing. I grew up with Jackie Stewart [racing in F1 as] some of my earliest memories. In the ’90s I really got heavily into MotoGP. Then I started veering into F1, and here we are.”
“I’ve been trying to get a racing movie done for 20 years. I’ve tried bikes, I’ve tried cars, I’ve tried different disciplines, and for whatever reason they never came to fruition. We got a great push behind us [for this film], people were more and more interested [in F1], so we could get [a company] like Apple to come in and really support us,” he added.
F1 also stars Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies, Kim Bodnia, and Javier Bardem. It is directed by Joseph Kosinski with a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger. Meanwhile, all ten Formula One teams and their drivers in the 2023 season appeared as themselves in the movie. This includes Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Charles Leclerc, Carlos Sainz Jr., Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, Fernando Alonso, Lance Stroll, Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, Nyck De Vries, Valtteri Bottas, Zhou Guanyu, Nico Hülkenberg, Kevin Magnussen, Daniel Ricciardo, Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson, Logan Sargeant and Alexander Albon.
