EXCLUSIVE: Will The ‘Dil-Luminati Tour’ Be Cancelled? Diljit Dosanjh’s Delhi Concert In Jeopardy Following NOC Issues

Diljit Dosanjh Dil-Luminati Tour: International icon Diljit Dosanjh has finally landed in India for his ‘Dil-Luminati Tour 2024′. The show will kickstart in Delhi on October 26 (Saturday) followed by a second show on October 27 (Sunday) at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. However, new updates on the event hints at shows’ cancellation.

According to the Cinematography Rules of Delhi, 2008, for an event of this scale, organisers must obtain approvals from the Delhi Fire Service, Electrical Inspector—NCT of Delhi, Building Department (DDA/MCD/NDMC/DMRC), Health Department, Traffic Police, and a Fire Evacuation Plan from the Delhi Fire Service. Following this, they would need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Delhi Police.

When News24 inquired the Delhi Police about the concert’s permissions, we were informed that No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the ‘Dil-Luminati India Tour’ has not been issued yet. Without the Delhi Police’s NOC, neither can a fire safety NOC be issued for the event, nor can a traffic NOC be granted.

With just 24 hours left for the Diljit Dosanjh’s India Tour, no even approval certificate raises the question whether organisers—Ripple Effect Studio and Saregama Global— will be able to successfully hold the concert on 26th and 27th or not. If the No Objection Certificate is not received, those who purchased tickets at such high prices will have no option but to return empty-handed from the event.

It is being reported that the organisers had submitted applications for all necessary permissions to various departments of the Delhi government 40 days ago. However, the issue between the organisers and the department concerning the count of attendees remains unresolved.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court has also sought a response from the Ministry of Broadcasting of the central government regarding a petition concerning the illegally inflated prices of tickets being sold in the black market for Diljit Dosanjh and Coldplay.

Following the shows in Delhi, Diljit will perform in Jaipur on November 3, Hyderabad on November 15, Ahmedabad on November 17, Lucknow on November 22, Pune on November 24, Kolkata on November 30, Bengaluru on December 6, Indore on December 8, Chandigarh on December 14, and the final show in Guwahati on December 29.
