Paatal Lok Season 2 has been making headlines since its launch on January 17, 2025, on Amazon Prime Video. With a talented cast, including Jaideep Ahlawat, Tillotama Shome, Ishwak Singh, and Gul Panag, and directed by Avinash Arun Dhaware, the season explores life in Nagaland from an outsider’s perspective. Jaideep Ahlawat reprises his role as Hathi Ram Chaudhary, and viewers are still buzzing about the powerful storytelling.
While speaking exclusively on the stage of News 24 Manthan, the actors Tillotama Shome and Jaideep Ahlawat shared insights about their web series, their personal journeys, and the topic of feminism. When Tillotama was asked about the divide within the Bollywood industry between A-list and B-list actors, and whether she had ever lost out on a role due to another actor’s connections or fame, she confidently responded, “If I have lost a job because of A B C D…..L, then I don’t know about it, but I do know how to recite the alphabet from A to Z. Where you, the directors and producers, choose to place me in front of which alphabet is up to you, I don’t want to reduce myself to an alphabet.”

About Pataal Lok 2
Hathi Ram (Jaideep Ahlawat) works as an inspector at the Outer Jamuna Par station, where he is known for his determined search for the truth and strong sense of honesty. These qualities often put him in conflict with a police system that seems to change its values to fit the situation. Imran Ansari has recently been promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Police and is on his way to building a successful career. However, he struggles with personal issues, especially keeping his romantic relationship a secret, which creates a distance between him and his coworkers. Meghna Barua (Tillotama Shome) is a senior police officer in Dimapur, but as a woman in a male-dominated environment, she faces constant disrespect and challenges from her team. These experiences have made her feel cynical and cautious about her job.
