Sudhanshu Rai, who is a well-known storyteller, also tells us about his decision of transitioning to acting. He reveals, “If you talk about my storytelling, I’m known for detective, supernatural, thriller, horror, sci-fi, time travel, talent universe. So, I’ve been writing in this particular segment for long. My fans and followers used to comment that if you will create a movie, if you create something which is more on the visual side as well, it will be something out of the box.”
“As a storyteller, when I used to write those stories, I used to read the characters and imagine the environment. I used to feel the characters. I used to feel the characters as well. I started writing the story and the next step was to get further and present the overall story, not only in the form of audio, but in the form of visuals as well. People can see the characters, the dialogues and feel them,” he adds.
Sudhanshu also shares that his hometown Gorakhpur and the folktales he heard as a child inspired ‘Baida’.
‘Baida’ will hit the theatres on March 21. Directed by Puneet Sharma, the movie stars Sudhanshu Rai, Hiten Tejwani, Sourabh Raaj Jain, Tarun Khanna, Shobhit Sujay, Manisha Rai, Akhlaq Ahmed (Azad), Deepak Wadhwa and Sidharth Banerjee.
