Celebrated Indian film and television actress Shruti Panwar recently shared her inspiring journey with News 24, offering a glimpse into her career and personal life, including her experiences as a single parent. With a notable body of work, Shruti has hosted esteemed shows like DD National’s Stree Shakti and Saab Ji and has also appeared in popular TV series such as Ahilya Bai Holkar and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

About her personal life

When asked about her personal life and how she manages to raise her son independently at home, she shared: “I am a single mother, and I have my son, who is 17, a beautiful boy. I am very cordial with my ex-husband; we co-parent our child and it’s beautiful. We are better friends now actually. I have my amma ji with me who is like a pillar of strength to me and she is just caring for me and my son all the time and I am soo soo grateful and humbled and blessed.”

She added: “I can say that my mother is along with me in my journey and its helping me to move forward in my career. If she wasn’t there, then I don’t think so, I would have started work again after Ojasya. So that is something I’m very blessed with and I am really grateful and I don’t think that I can never repay that to her. It is something like her being in my life is just priceless. Its a treasure, its a gem and i am always grateful for that to her.”

Professional life

Shruti will now be seen in the Bollywood film ‘Tera Kya Hoga Lovely’, directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua. The film features Randeep Hooda, Ileana D’Cruz, Shruti Panwar, and many others. In her television journey, she currently stars as Vidya Poddar in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. Previously, she gained acclaim for her Maharani Gautama Malharrao Holkar’s role in the renowned serial ‘Punyashloka Ahilya Bai’.
