Mimoh Chakraborty has made an amazing comeback with his latest web series ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’, streaming on Netflix. He portrayed SIT Officer Himel Majumder in the show and received appreciation from the audience for his stellar performance. In an interview with News24, Mimoh talks about his preparation for Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, his family reaction to the positive response, his bond with Salman Khan and more.
Before Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, Mimoh has seen his fair share of struggles in Bollywood. Earlier, the actor revealed how Salman Khan supported him during his tough times. Praising the ‘Sikandar’ star, Mimoh tells us that Salman has a big heart and is like a ‘big brother’ to him. He tells us, “I think I’m very blessed because Salman Bhai has a very big heart. He really loves people very much. He really loves them and I’m very fortunate to be loved and taken care by him. He is a big brother to me.”

He also recalls how he thanked Neeraj Pandey for giving him the opportunity to do ‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’. He says, “‘Khakee: The Bengal Chapter’ released on 20th of March. I messaged Neeraj sir and told him that thank you for believing in me when others had doubts. The same thing goes for Salman Bhai. He has always believed in me. The same thing goes for Vikram Bhatt sir. I am very fortunate that I have worked with and met such people who really believed in me.”
Mimoh gave an intense performance in Khakee: The Bengal Chapter. While speaking to us about how he prepared for the role, he says, “I was given a brief about my character very clearly. My director and the team were very thorough in the backstory and the way my character reacted to things. So, that really helped me a lot to prepare for the character and I’m really thankful to my directors for that.”
For the unversed, Mimoh is surrounded by actors as his father father Mithun Chakravarty is a legend in Hindi cinema and his wife Madalsa is a prominent name in the Indian television industry. Talking about their reactions while seeing positive reactions about him Khakee Season, he adds, “They have been very happy with all the love I’m getting. Because in the end, it’s always the audience. The audience is the hero. The main hero and the heroine of my life story.”
He further adds, “When it comes to my family, I did tell them about the role. But they said that you should do it the way you feel. Because you will react differently, we will react differently. So you should do it the way you feel, the role will be justified. I gave it my best and now I’m getting the love and appreciation for it. I’m very grateful.”

Amid the success of Khakee: The Bengal Chapter, Mimoh also recalls how he kept himself motivated despite facing problems in his career. He says, “I always believe in myself. In all the difficult situations, in all the people who told that ‘you can’t do it’, I always kept telling myself that yes I can. See, it’s not easy. I am telling you because today I am strong. But on the days when I was absolutely in darkness and negativity, I couldn’t think like that. I used to think why am I doing this? Why am putting myself through so much pain? But then, somewhere, within me, my soul, my dreams, my beliefs, they told me don’t give up today, let’s try another day. Now, I have come this far.”

Mimoh Chakraborty is currently working on his next film ‘Haunted Ghosts Of The Past’ with Vikram Bhatt. He will next be star in ‘Oye Bhootni Ke’.
